Nova’s January 2010 Anime Awards
Oh dear.
What does an anime blogger do when he has an irresistible urge to post but has no decent ideas? Do a Top-listing with a semi-random theme or pull off some shit like this. Hooray for dynamic blogging! Well okay, I was too busy with Bad Company 2 beta to actually try to think up something good to write about. Good thing the beta goes apeshit every now and then, refusing to let me play for a couple hours or so. Anyway, on with today’s topic.

Winter 2010 First Impressions – Ookami Kakushi
Ookami Kakushi is going to fail. Trust me on this. This show fits the same bill as Chaos;HEAd and 11eyes, there’s no denying it. Ookami Kakushi’s biggest selling point is that it’s based on a story by Ryukishi07, famous for Higurashi and Seakats. And so what? Chaos;HEAd was based on a VN by Nitroplus and Umineko was an adaptation of a popular VN. That didn’t stop Madhouse and DEEN from totally screwing everything up with the anime adaptations.

Winter 2009-2010 Season Initial Watchlist
I suppose it’s about time to have a look at the next season now that fall 2009 is pretty much over and done with. Hope you all had a nice and relaxing Christmas – personally I was just counting days to work. I’m too old to really care much about presents anymore – the biggest thing I got was getting me Disgaea 2 for PSP and playing it like a mofo. I love that game, it’s like Disgaea 1 but everything is better. And Rozalin is so hot.
