So I’m in the US. Now what? (A Desperate Call to Fellow Bloggers)
Since I’m kind of on the clock here, I’ll keep this short. As you may know, I’m in the United States right now assisting my family with some real estate business in Florida, West Palm area. Next week I will take off for New York on wednesday for a couple days of personal vacation and then head back home to Finland. So, if you’re a fellow anime blogger and feel like meeting up, let me know. Here in FL my options are kind of limited as I’m mostly tied to my family but over in NY I have two days I’d rather spend meeting up with my colleagues. I don’t really like to spend a night out alone while I’m abroad.
So if you feel like a couple beers and a talk about annie-may and whatever else, do let me know as soon as possible. I have only limited access to the internet so your best bet is sending me an e-mail or commenting here (preferably the latter).
The Obligatory Single Awareness Day Post – Some Good Ol’ Pointless Ramble

It’s nice to see that Valentine’s still hasn’t been able to establish itself as an anime blogger festivity. I’ve never really gotten into the whole Valentine’s deal, being a sad nerd as I am and considering the fact that Catholic holidays in general aren’t that big out here in Finland (gratz to Gustav I of Sweden, good job back there brah). And what would Valentine’s mean anyway to those of us lurking moar and blasting out psychedelic trance like it was any other day? Besides I don’t even like chocolate. Haters gonna hate, hell yeah.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC Beta Impressions

Since everyone and their dog pre-ordered the game, I didn’t feel like missing out. I had just gotten back into Battlefield 2142 too, so I thought what the hell.

New Year’s Special – Jinx! ~a tale of memories~

The Twelve Days in b4 Christmas already emptied my reserve of things to look back to in 2009. So instead of reminiscing about how great and shitty anime was this year and how blogging is such a badass hobby, I went out on a nice clear day to take some pictures of my hometown. Since as some of you know due to my ranting on IRC, I’m staying at my family’s house for the holiday season. As my merry, careless student life is very close to an (BAD) end, I decided to visit some places of my childhood where I spent my earlier school days. So yeah, nothing here now but personal ramblings of an old man and pictures of snowy places. Grab a cup of glogg, turn up the Vangelis and heed to my story.

Nova’s Singapore Trip Days 6, 7 and 8 – Imma Chargin Ma Laysia

I might have already exhausted myself at AFA both physically and financially but there was no rest for the wicked, next up was a one-day visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Trying my best to fight off the temptation to sleep a bit longer, I left for Changi airport at 5am and boarded a bargain flight to KL. One really good thing about this trip was that I got a chance to see Singapore from the air, thanks to a window seat and having enough sunlight to actually see outside. It struck me how small SG really is, you could really see the whole nation in one glance. The thing is, out in the streets Singapore doesn’t feel that small at all because the rather flat topography and tall buildings blocking your view.

Nova’s Singapore Trip Days 2 & 3 – Just Post Already Lah

Day 2 – Thursday 19th of Nov.
Yeah, it’s day three already but I was honestly too beat last night to push out a post. My 747 from Frankfurt arrived on schedule to Singapore and as soon as I marched out of the baggage claim, I was greeted by Xak and Hakuro who helped me getting things set up (public wireless access, mass transit pass etc.) and escorted me to my hotel. This is actually my first time to a truly big city (Singapore has about as much inhabitants as Finland) and Singaporean English is very difficult to understand sometimes, so it was really a lot of help to have a few locals to show me around.
