Fall 2009 Ending Grades – Trapeze

Trapeze (Kuuchuu Buranko) is an excellent show. It’s funny, educational, dramatic, deep and above all creative. In my personal listing I rate Trapeze as the second best anime of 2009 after SHAFT’s Bakemonogatari. But of course, you say, since Nova loves obscure shit for the sake of itself. However under the gimmicky appearance lies a show that meets every requirement I can think of for excellent visual entertainment.

Twelve Moments Post 12 – Nova’s Anime 2009 Top 5
The Twelve Moments project comes to an end at last. I think I’ve already listen enough memories in the previous posts so let’s wrap this thing up with a Top 5-list. Why not Top 10? Because honestly I did not witness all that many great shows and I hate to put mediocre shows on Top-lists. Since they’re not really top in any way – that’s why they’re called mediocre after all.

I Am (Not) Impress – Fall 2009 Pre-Finale Verdict

My procurement logistics plan face. But on to the business at hand…
The fall season is finally approaching its conclusion and since my schedule was totally messed up after three weeks of traveling, I thought it would be best to clear things a bit for both my readers and myself. Also, I’m supposed to be studying procurement logistics and doing assignments that make me RAGE, so this is a good way to escape it all and curse over later when I don’t know worth a shit in the exam. In the end I didn’t manage to keep following all that many shows although it was an improvement over the summer season, back when I dropped everything but Bakemonogatari and Zetsubou Sensei. I originally thought utilizing the tier-system throughout this season but right now it all seems unnecessary trouble. After all there are only two classes: Those that by some virtue remained on my schedule and those that did not. No middle ground here kids.

Fall 2009 Season Midterm Grades

Sorry for the recent silence, been rather busy and tired.
So yeah, I suppose it’s time for me to take a break from hitting F5 on OEG and fart out a mid-season evaluation. You pretty much know the drill, first some spreadsheets and then the verbal rambling. Oh, and I’ve heard people complain I don’t post enough pics nowadays so this time I decided to throw anything semi-relevant I could find in between the paragraphs.

Making a Stand – Trapeze Is Totally Awesome

The story of my life…OH SHI-
Okay, the second episode of Trapeze was probably the funniest shit I’ve seen this year. In fact I’d say that a person who didn’t find it funny has no sense of humor at all. If the show keeps this up, it will quite certainly rank as one of the best anime I have ever seen. I really can’t recall laughing this much to an anime episode ever since Seto no Hanayome OVA.

Season Start Final Ranking (Unlimited Bloggan Works)

I’m sorry for posting this much! Forgive me!
From such a barrage of posts here you can really tell that I’ve been quite bored recently. But I’ve long since learned not to resist when an inspiration strikes, so here we are with a little update to my view on the Fall 2009 season. Now I understand reading through my text is tiresome, so I will be brief (really!) and postan pics.

First Impressions on Kuuchuu Buranko / Trapeze

Kuuchuu Buranko is a weird show. It’s like watching House on crack, meth and a ton of alcohol. It’s also the most unique thing I’ve seen during my few years of common history with Japanese animation. Based on a novel by Okuda Hideo, the show follows the antics of an extremely eccentric psychiatrist Irabu Ichirou and his various patients.

Fall 2009 Season Watchlist and Railgun Impressions

All right, it’s time for a new season. This time I’m not gonna go that much into details as the first shows have already started airing and thus I’m going to have to push out a first impressions post out in the near future anyway. I had a chance to check out the first episode of JC Staff’s A Certain Scientific Railgun (To Aru Kagaku no Choudenjibou) so let me say a word or two about it first.
