Original English VN ‘Memo’ Released

Thanks to sage for the heads up, an OEL visual novel Memo got released today. I’m no news service but since original English language VNs aren’t an everyday’s happening, I thought it deserves a post. Memo is available for free as a 77MB zipped package, you can find download links on its website. I gave it a quick spin myself and it looks quite nice for a free VN. Tsundere Liz is so damn hot too…verbal abuse, NEED MOAR! The GUI is very smooth and nicely done, as are the scene and character transitions.

I might complain about the sound though, I detected some jerking with some BG music tracks. As far as the story goes, I can’t really say much yet. The dialogue flows smoothly and the jokes work, much better than what I remember of Hirameki’s Ever17 localization. OEL has its benefits. All in all it looks like a nice game, especially for light travel entertainment. I could imagine playing this on my netbook on my trip to the US in a few weeks. It’s a small package and seems to work just peachy with Windows 7, so be sure to check it out.
