Jinx! has been unbelievably active lately, to the extent that I myself am stunned at how much posts I can keep pushing out. I must express my thanks for your continued interest, dear reader, and to keep serving your needs I’d like to take a bit of your time to announce a bit of things to come here in the near future.
I’ve heard recently that my style tends to step on a whole number of toes in the anime fandom and I can hardly deny that. The thing is, my type of humor is provocative. I get the best laughs out of something that intentionally pokes people’s soft spots. Now some might say that I’m just a troll and I can see that argument somewhat justified given what I just wrote in the previous phrase, but that’s not entirely accurate. I don’t really get kicks out of people being annoyed by my writings. I simply enjoy humor that encourages people to self-irony and critical thinking – personally, I’m about as self-critical as a reasonably sane person can possibly be. Some may think I’m arrogant and an elitist – but this is hardly true either. You will hardly find another person who values his own opinions less than I do. To me, expressing my opinions is merely a way to make you think and express yours. So whenever writing a comment here, remember – there’s always someone who thinks your opinion is superior to whatever is expressed in the post itself.
I have been accused of being a cheap 4chan/somethingawful-goon. I’m not going to bother going further into this here but just for the record, I do not frequent either of these said websites. In fact the only imageboard I waste my time at is Kuvalauta for its retarded tin-foil-hattery and occasionally amusing /a/b/-boards (SPÖRÄDS PURDE IS FAAAAST :DDDDD). Even then, I don’t think I have ever been inspired by it to write a complete post, just copying memes for comedic relief at most. For inspiration I rely solely on anime itself, IRC and the few other blogs I frequently read (listed on the blogroll, check them out by all means). Hell, suddenly this turned into a lecture on my lame bloggan life. So I might as well point you to the root of all evil. When I was a greenhorn blogger back in summer 2007, the one who inspired me to become what I am today was Lupus with his rant posts. Blame him for everything.

Okay, now on to the announcement stuff. As you may have noticed from the widget bar to the right of this post, I am attending Anime Festival Asia ’09 to be held in Singapore 21st to 22nd of November. Personally I’m staying in Singapore from 19th to 25th and hope to meet as many of my blogger colleagues as possible. I might drop by Malaysia as well if my budget is green enough. See you there! I will also be covering the event (as well as other highlights of my journey) to the best of my ability so stay tuned. The week after the Singapore trip will be hiatus as I’m going to spend it attending the St. Petersburg State Forest Technical Academy in Russia.
