Shakugan no Shana III, The Unwanted Return

I expected it to be over for good. I thought wrong. Many of you are undoubtfully aware of it but just in case there are some like me who managed to miss the news last autunm let me type it up here. Shakugan no Shana, a light novel series adapted into two seasons of mainly sub-par anime, is getting another anime that’s likely to air this autumn.

Not that this was unexpected – anyone can tell that JC Staff has been going crazy with light novel adaptations as of late. Unexpected – not. Unwanted – absolutely! In all honesty I must say that I had hoped that Shana would never again return in animated format. The second season of the anime was such horse shit (possible spoilers in the linked articles, although it can be debated whether SnS 2nd has anything that could be spoiled) that I haven’t even seen many of the hardcore Shana fan camp bother defending it. But as I am aware that vast majority of the common folk out there has astoundingly crappy taste in things such as entertainment, I have no doubt that there are a lot of basement dwellers jumping in joy for being able to see moar of their dear tsundere Shana-chan. But let me tell you something.

Shana-anime is fucking shit and the novels are equally dull and childishly written, intended for equally childish audience. Tsundere for the sake of tsundere isn’t cute and high school teenage love triangle shit is not something to prioritize over an actual plot. Fuck JC Staff and fuck this shitty anime.

Ahem. Guess that says enough of my feelings on the matter.

  1. That Dude says:

You wasted this much of your time calling people who enjoy this series immature? Doesn’t that make you the immature one?

So much time? Looking at this post I think I farted it out in 15 minutes. Not like I’d know since it’s been like what, over year and a half? Sure I spent a lot of time flaming Shana, specifically season 2 back in the day and for a very good reason: Because that show sucked ass bad.

Man, these types of comments never cease to amuse me. It’s like people who have never written anything in their lives aside from school essays suddenly think they have the authority and basis to judge what’s a good use of time and what’s not for someone else.
PROTIP: Usually their definition of good is writing positive reviews of their own favorites, and bad is saying negative things of the said favorites. I’ve yet to hear one saying “Hey you’ve wasted so much time saying good things about this show, get a life!”.

TL;DR: How I use my time is none of your business, and you definitely are not in the position to judge other people on that matter.
