Saimoe 2007 is over – Ni pa~ is Victorious
Author: nova
As I stated in my previous coverage on Saimoe, the semi-finals truly were full of surprises, and not too pleasant ones. There was no doubt in my minds about Rena’s definite victory over Nagi, but looks like my Japanese colleagues managed to defeat all the laws of logic – and so much to my grief my dear Himegimi was defeated. It was truly a great day of grief and existential doubt. Our only hope would now lie in whoever would emerge victorious from the second match – Shinku or Rika. To be frank, Nagi didn’t deserve to get as far as she did. In fact in my opinion she doesn’t even qualify as moe at all. Damn you japs.
The battle between Shinku and Rika wasn’t that much of a surprised – in my theory Shinku was merely used as a tool to defeat Tsukasa and had now fulfilled her purpose. Nevertheless she put up a valiant effort but moelicious Rika was too much for her to handle. With a strong candidate going to face Nagi, we allies of justice could now only lower our heads and dig in, as the Armoegeddon would be set loose.

Rika vs. Nagi as a neat graph.
As you can read from the graph, the battle was long and tiring and lots of drama in the trenches had surely taken place. During the last few minutes of struggle both sides attempted a desperate push to annihilate the opposition once and for all – and soaked in otaku blood, sweat and tears, Rika-chama emerged from the battlefield as the well-deserved winner by merely 22 votes! Justice and moeness have prevailed today, well done and congratulations Rika!
